TS Lines has 200 total employees across all its locations. At the time of establishment, TS Line immediately became a full-service company with complete teams of personnel in documentation, operations, and financial management. This has propelled TS Line to the fourth-largest ocean freight company in Taiwan shortly following its creation. Although TS Lines came onto the scene during an economic recession, the company took advantage of its flat organizational structure and its experienced and energetic employees to lower operating costs and maintain profitability throughout the recession. Through Mr Chen’s leadership and personnel management, TS Lines was very competitive. Additionally, TS Lines took advantage of the recession by acquiring fixed assets at great discounts that included high-quality ships, containers, and other resources to diversify its operations, thus minimizing its market risks. These efforts increased TS Line’s competitiveness in the ocean freight market and accelerated its growth.
TS Lines (TS Lines) operates 47 container ships, 24 owned and 23 chartered with a total TEU of 93,384 as of 2021. The biggest TS Lines container ship is HYUNDAI RESPECT with a total TEU of 13082. Since mid-2020, TS Lines have bought 14 vessels and is now the 21st largest liner operator. TS Lines reported a $394.12m net profit for H1 2021, exceeding their full-year target and planning an IPO in Hong Kong. Expecting 20 new ships to join the fleet between next year and 2024, TS Lines owned capacity is expected to be around 119,000 TEU in 2024. The 7,000 TEU ships are expected to be assigned to the Persian Gulf and South Asia services.
